Very nice place to stay.

The staff and front desk service were courteous and professional. However, the room had a strong damp carpet smell, which made our stay much less comfortable. The breakfast was very disappointing. There were no hot food options. The eggs were served cold straight from the refrigerator and appeared to be pre-cooked rather than freshly prepared. In addition, the fruit was covered with small flies. Considering the hotel's luxury image in its advertising and the price we paid, the experience did not meet our expectations. In our opinion, the quality does not justify the cost.

The room was very nice, the hotel smelled amazing, it was very quiet as well. and the location was very convenient!

This historic, very well maintained building has a perfect location to walk to anything you’d want to get to in downtown Buffalo. The lobby was impressive, but awkwardly quiet (except for when the bar/lounge next door was bumpin’), compounded by there never really being any staff around. The room (we had a standard king) was nice. Very soft, comfortable bed and towels. It was nicely decorated including a coffee maker, iron and board, and even a wine opener. It did not however include a mini fridge or a safe - and the shelf in the bathroom was missing. But everything was clean, and well maintained and the rooms were pretty quiet. Overall a great property if you want a great location and something different from the generic, corporate style hotels. I’d try one of the suites next time.
